The National Theatre's hotly anticipated production of Shakespeare's King Lear, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Simon Russell Beale, has sold out in the initial pre-sale.
While this does raise questions about how fair the whole concept of "pre-saleing" is, the National have confirmed more dates are to be announced in March, and hopefully things will be a bit less hectic then.
